How To Stop a Massacre

My first thought when hearing of the horror in Colorado, just as with the college campus shooting back east was, if only there was someone trained and licensed to carry in that theatre this guy wouldn’t have killed nearly as many people.  The following speaks to that as do many stories we “gun nuts” can show.

****************************************************************************

July 18, 2012 (OCALA, Fla.) (WLS) — An elderly man foiled an armed robbery attempt in Florida by pulling out his own gun and shooting the would-be bandits.

A surveillance camera caught 71-year-old Samuel Williams jump out of his seat and head toward the two armed men.

The men were trying to rob an Internet cafe in Ocala.

One suspect was shot in the arm — the other one in the buttocks and right hip.

Both 19-year-olds were later arrested and taken to a hospital.

The men have been charged with armed robbery.

Williams has a license to carry a concealed weapon and does not face any charges.

In the aftermath of the Aurora, Colorado Batman movie theater shooting, a surveillance video has surfaced that shows the simple, obvious answer to the question on everybody’s mind: How do we stop a massacre?

The answer is revealed in the stunning short video shown below. This remarkable solution:

• Requires no police.

• Costs the taxpayers no money.

• Requires no up-front paperwork.

• Protects innocent lives.

• Is deployed in as little as FIVE seconds.

• Works everywhere.

• Deters violent crime.

• Makes bad guys flee immediately.

• Is easy to learn.

• Functions at the local level.

• Does not require control or intervention by the United Nations or any government entity.
